Global warming is being talked about more and more in Japan due to the increase of water levels and the increase of melting glaciers. "In Alaska, the collapse of sea ice is allowing huge waves to strike the coast, causing erosion so rapid that it is already forcing entire communities to relocate." The global warming effects are now starting to effect the land surrounding the coast in many coastal communities. Japan is having major conferences on the debates on whether or not to act to stop the global warming or not. "That reflects a growing body of research about how sensitive many crops are to heat waves and water stress." The climate chane is also effecting many crops such as broccoli and other greens that need the moisture more then the heat. Overall climate change is seriously impacting many areas such as California, Alaska, and some parts of the North Pole if we don't act more damage can be done that could have been avoided.

  2. To me the climate is getting worse not only in North America but around the world. There have been recent reports that not only do we feel the effects of what we do. The sea animals have been greatly affected. A quote from the article "The report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations group that periodically summarizes climate science, concluded that ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying, coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or in some cases going extinct. This is very bad for the environment.

I feel that the climate is getting worse around the world, not only in the United States. For example when Rajendra K. Pachauri said "Nobody is going to be untouched by the impacts of climate change." Also I feel that it is horrible that all of the greenhouse gases that are being emitted are going into the important bodies of water and making them more acidic and even killing off all of the living things in those bodies of water like the coral reefs or the certain groups of fish that are going extinct because of the greenhouse gases getting into the water and essentially poisoning them. The climate changes are also causing global warming which is not allowing for "snowpack" on the tops of the mountains, which is making it harder to get through the dry summers. Also said in the article. "The snow that does fall is melting earlier in the year, which means there is less meltwater to ease the parched summers." So yes, I believe that the climate changes are very bad for the world in the long run.

  4. The climate is getting worse all around the world day by day. In the article it says, " "Climate change is already having sweeping effects on every continent and throughout the world’s oceans, scientists reported Monday, and they warned that the problem is likely to grow substantially worse unless greenhouse emissions are brought under control." This is really bad because if we don't do anything about it we can lose our planet. We can also lose our sea animals because they are the ones who will be greatly effected by this since they are the ones living in the water. In the article they also mention,"The oceans are rising at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the carbon dioxide given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth, the report found." If the oceans are rising at a pace that is threatening us then we should do something about it because if the water level gets so high then it can cause us to have a flood. We need to do something about this because our planet is getting really bad and if don't take action now then our planet can become very dangerous for us.

  5. In my opinion, the climate is getting so much worse now a days, and it is even getting more worse all around the world day by day. In the article that i was reading it said, "Climate change is already having sweeping effects on every continent and throughout the worlds' oceans, scientists reported Monday, and they warned that the problem is likely to grow substantially worse unless greenhouse emissions are brought under control." Now, this quote means that it's really bad because if we don't do anything about this major problem with the climate around us, we can have the problem of possibly losing our planet, and who want's that to happen? I know that i do NOT want that to ever happen. We can also lose not just regular animals, but we can lose our sea animals too, because they are the ones who will be greatly effected by this since they are the ones living in the water. In the article, i also read that it said, "The oceans are rising at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the CO2 given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth, the report found." This means that if the ocean pace is rising that it's threatening us, and we should do something about it because if the water level is starting to get really high, then it can make our world get a really bad flood, or have water problems everywhere. In my opinion, we really do need to do something about this because our planet is only going to get worse if we don't take action(s) now, and then our planet won't become as dangerous to us.

  6. i feel that global warming is very affective at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the carbon dioxide given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth, the report found. This is very dangerous to the animals The scientists emphasized that climate change is not just a problem of the distant future, but is happening now.
Studies have found that parts of the Mediterranean region are drying out because of climate change, and some experts believe that droughts there have contributed to political destabilization in the Middle East and North Africa.

  7. This article about climate change is very interesting, considering the fact that the this is and issue that is on of the most important in today's society. “Throughout the 21st century, climate-change impacts are projected to slow down economic growth, make poverty reduction more difficult, further erode food security, and prolong existing and create new poverty traps, the latter particularly in urban areas and emerging hot spots of hunger,” the report declared. I believe that this quote just shows how important this is, and now is the time to take act. Its never to late to start, and if we start now we can make a huge difference. This report that was just released shows us that we, not just as a singularity, but also as a nation need to take act. Everything that we are working to succeed is going to be harder, and this is our number 1 issue right now

  8. i believe we need to do something about this because this affects everyone.“Nobody on this planet is going to be untouched by the impacts of climate change,” Rajendra K. Pachauri soon things will get even worse." climate-change impacts are projected to slow down economic growth, make poverty reduction more difficult, further erode food security" this means we need to start to act to stop climate change or the world as we know it is at risk.

You would think by now that we would understand that global warming is a serious thing and that the only way for it to change is to make some changes. For years global warming had been put to the back burner. The issue was always put behind other problems. Without dealing with this serious issue our world is suffering. The affects are great and at some point it will be too late to reverse the damage that global warming has done to the environment. What has to happen for global warming to be taken seriously? "Now we are at the point where there is so much information, so much evidence, that we can no longer plead ignorance, Michel Jarraud, Secretary General of the world Meteorological Organization." The issue needs to start being handled because for many they can't afford for global warming to continue at the rate it is going. For many poor countries they will feel the affects though they didn't cause the harsh emissions that caused it. Some say it's not important, not that big of an issue, it's already handled, but we can't turn a blind eye to the harm of global warming. " There are those who say we can't afford to act, Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement. But waiting is truly unaffordable. The costs of inaction are catastrophic." It's time for change. No more putting global warming to the side. At some point we all need to realize that some changes need to be done because if we don't the effects are permanent. We need to take care of the environment because if we don't we will have never ending problems.

Global warming is a very looked at topic. Many people are noticing that the polar ice caps are melting each year quicker and quicker. "The oceans are rising at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the carbon dioxide given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth, the report found." As the ice caps melt it is putting soil that was frozen into the ocean. All of the CO2 that is in the atmosphere isn't helping many other countries. The CO2 is killing certain species. If we don't act fast and maybe change our ways then there may not be any more glacial structures in the poles. If the water gets to the point of not being able to consume than it will hurt many other coastal communities.

This article about climate change is an important topic known to our modern day society. The climate is getting worse all around the world day by day. “Throughout the 21st century, climate-change impacts are projected to slow down economic growth, make poverty reduction more difficult, further erode food security, and prolong existing and create new poverty traps, the latter particularly in urban areas and emerging hot spots of hunger.” Today, many problem s occur with climate change in our Earth’s atmosphere caused by the greenhouse gases. Climate change affects areas like Alaska, The North Pole, and crop land in the south. Since the earth has different regions where climate change is a variety, like hot and cold, they will become unstable or change in a dramatic way. If we, people of the earth, don't act about this issue. Damage will be done that could have been avoided before.

  12. Climate change is a very important topic to modern day society because it is at an all-time high. Not only is climate change affecting our environment and animals but us too. It has the potential to impact the way we live in the future. The article explains the threat climate change has posed on us and our environment. The article stated, “The impact of global warming may actually be moderated by factors like economic or technological change, the report found, the disruptions are nonetheless likely to be profound. That will be especially so if emissions are allowed to continue at a runaway pace, the report said.” Following this statement it said, “It cited the risk of death or injury on a wide scale, probable damage to public health, displacement of people and potential mass migrations.” The ignorance we have towards global warming is going to impact out health and death is a possible outcome. The author and scientist emphasize the negative outcome but no one seems to want to change the way we are treating our environment and want to help it at all. Not only is it causing global warming, but poverty is an outcome we may face and starvation. Climate change is such a growing problem in North America and all over the world because we are so industrial. We depend on factories to make everything for us while polluting the air and using cars that emit fumes into the air. The article also proved that global warming is already affecting us now. They said, A striking example of the change occurred recently in the state of New York, where the Public Service Commission ordered Consolidated Edison, the electric utility serving New York City and some suburbs, to spend about $1 billion upgrading its system to prevent future damage from flooding and other weather disruptions.” Many companies face the potential to fall out after climate change goes into effect. This is going to change everything for us, but we aren’t willing to change anything in return.
