  1. The movie made me a little annoyed but pleased, people who are born rich tell the truth when they say money doesn't make them happy. In a way it irritated me because in one sence they talked about how they would spend thousands of dollars on one night out to a famous fancy night club where pdiddy would have parties, and to know that all that money was handed to them. They were born into money and i believe that to achieve the real american dream you need to work for it, i mean one girl spent $600 on a pair of shoes! So basically all those children who where born into money have it nice but only in one way, they get to buy whatever they want whenever they want but that will never make you truly happy. 2. The movie didn't really reveal anything to shocking. I mean people think Oh he's loaded so of course he is happy just look at his car. But the reality is money or no money these people are still human, and people seem to forget that. Also, money changes people. Do you think these kids would be as snooty as they are without being multi-billionaires?

  3. I did not like this movie. I hate selfish people that think they are better than others just because they have money. I also didn't like how they complain about having money and being rich, because it makes them unhappy. No one has to be rich they can choose to have a normal amount of money if they want. No one ever chooses to have a normal amount of money if they ever have the chance to have the money they just complain about how unhappy money makes them.

  4. i thought it interesting to see how the other half live. It would be nice to buy and have whatever money could buy. I think that as parents of the born rich children they should be exposed more to the real world. Everyone does not experience the lavish lifestyle they have. I thought it was interesting in the movie when one of the boys mentioned in his family achieving the american dream would be having greater success in wealth than the previous generation.

  5. I though the movie served it's pirpose in giving the viewer a glimpse into the life of the rich. However, after seeing how they live, it uspset me to a degree. It made me mad to see how arragant some of the people were and how they viewed life. A prome example of this is when one of the men interviewed just sued the director. However, the moive alos showed that no all rich people just lived lavish lives without purpose. It did a good job of breaking the common sterotype given to the rich that they did nothing. Some actually used the money they recieved and used it to enirch there education and lives. an interesting theme emerged that all the people agreed that money did not buy happiness which i found interesting. 6. I think that these kids are privliged but even though they gget nice things they have problems much bigger than people who dont have as much money. These kids have drug addictions and are stuck in the shadows of their rich and famous parents. Being rich doesn't make you happy it helps for a while but once youre onmly surrounded by money your life isnt all that great. EK period 4

  7. This movie left me with mixed feelings. In a way I was happy with the fact he went about making this video to show that he himself wasn't satified with the fact he was inheriting all this money. Bu also on the other hand it was almost a slap in the face, basically saying all right, I'm going to have people talk all about their money and how they have to "work" for it in their families or they don't get recognized. Money truly doesn't make you happy. Happiness comes from success which can include money but doesn't have to start with it. Honestly, if I could choose I wouldn't choose to be a hieress of money because I wouldn't be able to learn the true value of money and how with success comes great satisfaction and earning.

  8. The movie brought up a lot of good points. It showed us how the family members of rich individuals live today. You can tell that some are not happy, but some don't even care because they know they have money. Some kids have drug addictions and others are just addicted to shopping and fame. A lot of the people are also very conceited, showing the fact they spend so much money just out one night like its no big deal. These kids think since they have money, their life is set for good, but come to think of it, the watchers can see that money isn't everything. Its the people we have in our lives to get us through it, and these individuals don't retrieve the concept of it.

  9. The movie showed me the lives of very different rich people, they all arent the same. I say this because even though all of them were brought into the world wealthy; they each have very different ways of thinking. It goes from "I only cared about shopping, and buying whatever I want" to Vanderbilt saying having money doesn't make him happy and he would've much rather have earned it.
Some of the people took pride in their money that was just handed over and what their parents and grandparents have done to create this lifestyle for them. However, to some of them its just there for them and it doesnt really mean anything such as they dont have to work they could do what they want. - I think that they might have a different attitude towards life if they either had earned it themselves or they hadnt been born into wealth and became wealthier later on in life. They arent happy with the money because its something their parents did and they dont have the self satifactory.

  10. I liked this movie because it gave insight to the lives of these rich kids that most people will never know about them. It showed that it is not all about having millions of dollars to them and like that one kid said, he could go out right now and buy a Ferrari, but he doesn't want to because having nice cars isn't all he cares about. When most people think about heirs and heiresses, all they think about is how they're spoiled and snobby and ungrateful but this film showed that they actually feel lucky for having the things that they have. I feel like the insight that these rich kids gave in this documentary made me judge their lives differently. Of course they are going to do frivolous things with their million dollars because they have that capeability, but I feel like they are still relatively grounded, especially the boy that lives in his dorm all the time instead of living in his father's appartment. I think this documentary definitely doesn't show the typical American family, but it shows the other side of some Americans that most people don't get to see or learn about. HR period 4

  11. Overall I really liked this movie. It really gave me insight to how the wealthy people of our time live today, also it showed how well they deal with the responsibility of a large amount of money. Some are actually afraid of it, some are arrogant, some aren't worried at all. I'm guessing it's really how they grew up. The most sane , to me, was the one who grew up being told he was poor. Because he seemed to have a grip on what this idea of having a large sum of money can do to a person.

  12. I wasn't really a big fan of the movie because some of the people were stuck up. But you could really see that they were unhappy even with all the money they had. You could tell they were unhappy because some of them were even on drugs. Some of the girls in this movie were a little selfish in how they spend their money. They spend it like it lasts forever, but it doesn't. Overall I think it was a good opportunity for us to watch this movie to see how other people live. Period 8.

  13. I believe that the movie tried to show that all rich kids are snobby and have trust funds like the ones shown in the movie. The fact is, most kids who have rich parents are not like the ones portrayed in the movie but they are normal like us. It is true that some kids are snobby and arrogant like the ones shown but only a small amount are like this.

  14. The movie brought out good points, even though its not what the viewers wanted see. It basically showed that rich people think they are set for like just because they have a lot of money. Some people are rich, but still realize they are not happy. While others are having the time of their life doing whatever they want. The kids don't seem to realize if a person doesn't have as much money as they do, they can still be happy. In their mind, money is the only thing is what makes them happy. But money is not everything. To achieve your dream, you should realize what it takes to get there, instead of just having the easy way in and having it handed to you. The kids take everything they are handed for granted. How would they think their life style would be changed if they werent rich?

  15. I thought the movie made some good points about people that have money. The only part that i disagree with is that i dont believe that money can bring happiness. Sure you will be able to buy lots of things and in some ways be "higher" up than others, but money can leave you feeling empty. I mean once you have it all there is nothing else for you to get an dsometimes money can make people such as familly and friends turn against you leaving you alone. I believe that you can be happy by earning your money and working hard towards a goal. This movie allowed us to see opionions about how people feel when they all the sudden get millions of dollars without even lifting a finger. If i had the chance i think i would rather earn the money than just have it given to me because it would give me the feeling of success rather than just recieving.

  16. Born Rich was the worst movie I have ever wasted my valuable time on. We all know that there are people better off then others in the world. I didn't need to waste my time listening to people complain that they get treated funny because they have a lot of money. People should not sweat things like that. If they were so concerned, they would not drill into his/her parent's trust fund, and earn it themselves. Money is of more value that way anyway. I think that these people should be far from complaining. -GP Period Four

  17. This movie was very interesting in the fact that it showed us how most of the "other half" lives with their huge mansions and ritsy, flashy cars. Most of these kids were born into money and are capable of walking into a store and dropping 800$ for a pair of shoes or $1000 on a bottle of champagne, which all seems completely outrageous to us, but to them it's an everyday occurence. A normal middle class person can look at the upper class and say "wow that person has acheived the best life possible" and wish that they were in their shoes, when most of the rich never had to work for their money and never got to experience the feeling of acheiving your goal. One line that stuck out to me in the movie was "What you inherit might not be as important as what you can learn." This is true because you can take away so much more if you work towards something you want instead of getting it handed out to you with no reprocussions or hard work.

  18. Born Rich is a documentary of rich kids and their thoughts on being born into one of the greatest things this world materially has to offer: money. Instead of making it out to look like these kids are grateful and blessed with the circumstances they were born into, they come off as spoiled and snoody. To me they seem to try so hard to show that the money is so great and that they arent so lucky, yet instead of talking about all the good it has done for them they talk about all the bad it has done for them, which only makes them look ungrateful rather than fortunate.

  19. The movie made me question wether the rich kids actually knew what its like in what we call "the real world". Many of them decided to go to college and get jobs but that doesnt mean that they understand how much poverty there is in the world.

  20. People who are born with money think they have everything. People tend to think that they have everything made and that they can experience anyhthing they want. This movie will show people that this thinking is wrong and that rich people may have everything but money cant buy you the values you need in life. for example love, feelings, friends, happyness, ect. Rich people may be happy that they have all the money they need but inside they truely are not happy. I think this video showed alot of people wrong in their thinking that all rich people are happy cause they have all the money in the world.
